Under 15 Cricket

Commitment to Sports

In 2014, we celebrated 25 years of flagship sponsorship of the Kingston Wharves Limited Under 15 Cricket Competition. The competition showcases the transformative power of sports and continues to receive support from cricket enthusiasts throughout the Caribbean, but more importantly, it has opened up long- term career opportunities for participants, some of whom now represent Jamaica at regional and international levels.

Courtney Walsh, Chris Gayle, Jimmy Adams, and current West Indies Under-19 players Ramaal Lewis and Marquino Mindley, are but a few of the distinguished players who are alumnae of this  developmental competition.

Kingston Wharves also extended its involvement in youth cricket to include sponsorship of the Jamaican Under-15 Team who participated in the West Indies Cricket Board’s 2013 regional competition. The games were hosted in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica after several consecutive years of being held in Trinidad and Tobago. The competition was a showcase of remarkable talent and sportsmanship, very befitting of association with the KWL brand.
