The Supervisor – Warehouse Operations support the efficient and compliant operation of our bonded warehouse facility. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supervising daily warehouse activities, ensuring Customs compliance, inventory accuracy, staff performance, and adherence to safety and security standards.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABLITIES / MAJOR TASKS:

  • Supervise daily bonded warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and dispatch of cargo.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Customs regulations, bonded warehouse requirements, and company procedures.
  • Ensure that accurate and systematic records are captured and kept to identify damage, short shipments and discrepancies with cargo at the time of receipt into the warehouse. 
  • Investigate and resolve routine concerns and issues faced by Customer transacting business at the warehouse on a day to day basis.
  • Supervise, coach, and manage warehouse staff to achieve productivity and service targets.
  • Enforce health, safety, and security standards within the warehouse.
  • Investigate and report discrepancies, damages, or operational incidents.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Port Management, Logistics Management, Operations Management  or related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management, distribution, and logistics in a multipurpose or large-scale warehouse setting.
  • At least two (2) years experience in a Supervisory capacity is highly desirable.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of lean and efficient warehouse operations, including waste reduction, space utilization and workflow optimization.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. 
  • Problem-solving ability to quickly address operational challenges and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to foster a productive and safe work environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Ability to influence and guide without direct authority.
